After much procrastination(going to a decemberists concert among other far less worth while things) here is what i've come up with for for my Short Fiction home work, its come a long ways from the initial sketch. We had to illustrate a scene from one of the short stories we've read i chose a scene from Ralph Ellison's "Battle Royal"

its a very powerful story.

Hey, after some persuasion I'm going to start explaining the things I put up here from now on a little more.

This one is from a series of 5 illustrations i want to do based on my Thesis kinda to get my morale up and to decorate my empty walls. Their all on paper i got for free from an exhibit at the Rubin Museum of Himalayan art. The paper is referencing these old ancient flags which were hung to represent the different forces back in the old olden days, Red for Fire, Yellow for Earth, Green for Plants, White for Snow, Iron, Stars, Clouds, and Blue for Water, Sky.

This popped into my head while i was trying to fall asleep. I originally thought to illustrate it really clean iconagraphic like but then i thought id forget it by the next day if i didn't jot it down so i just sketched it really quick and i like how it came out lil potato sack bodies and stick legs. It's that feeling of utter emptiness when you have a lack of inspiration and you hunger for it so, then the surprise of the inspiration striking, then the pleasant comfortable content lasting fullness

these may be frames of a graphic novel i might be working on. maybe. probably not. but maybe, ill keep posting as they come, if they come. maybe

NYC Subways are interesting during the off hours sometimes you play tic tac toe on the palm pilot of a drunk 16 year old Slovakian thats 7 feet tall and discuss with their arm around you the real meaning of the 4th which is to drink, i know you thought it was to celebrate our independence from Britain but the Slovakian friends i made on the 2 train tonight would argue other wise.
